Intra site is a hydrogel which research has shown to be ideal for quick and effective healing of wounds.  Using Intra site gel in wounds keeps the environment of the wound moist and healthy and prevents further contamination of the site.  Intra site is commonly used by vets when treating wounds because it is a very safe non-irritant product to use.  Also because the gel is not absorbed or does not stick to the wound it can easily be washed off when the dressing needs changing.
